Recap: 100 Days of Learning AI (Round-Up Post)

Author: M Sharanya

Introduction

Learning AI can be overwhelming, but breaking it down day by day makes it not only manageable but enjoyable. Over the past 100 days, I explored tools, concepts, use cases, and hands-on projects involving artificial intelligence. In this round-up post, I’m summarizing the biggest lessons, favorite tools, and tips for anyone who wants to start or continue their AI learning journey.

Week 1–10: Getting Started with AI

The first 10 days were all about understanding the basics — what AI is, how it differs from machine learning, and where it’s being used in everyday life. Tools like ChatGPT and Google Bard were introduced, along with simple use cases like AI for writing, summarizing, and brainstorming ideas.

Week 11–30: Experimenting with AI Tools

This phase involved getting hands-on with AI tools: Canva AI, Notion AI, Copy.ai, and Jasper. I explored how to generate content, edit text, and even draft YouTube scripts. It was empowering to see how accessible AI creativity has become.

Week 31–50: Understanding AI Ethics and Limitations

Halfway through, I dug into responsible AI use — data privacy, bias in AI models, and hallucination issues. This period emphasized critical thinking about when and how to use AI ethically, especially in content creation and automation.

Week 51–70: Building with AI (No-Code Projects)

Using no-code platforms like Zapier, Bubble, and Make, I started automating small tasks and building AI chatbots. This was the most transformative part of the journey — showing that even without coding skills, you can still build functional AI projects.

Week 71–90: Custom Models and APIs

This period introduced technical AI applications: OpenAI API, custom GPTs, vector databases, and prompt engineering. I also tested local LLMs like LM Studio and Ollama for offline AI use.

Week 91–100: Reflection and Real-World Applications

In the final days, I focused on applying AI to real life: planning, finance, marketing, and education. AI has gone from being just a topic of interest to a set of skills that improve productivity and creativity every day.

Top 5 Lessons Learned

  • Start small, stay consistent — 10 minutes a day adds up quickly.
  • Experiment often — AI is best understood by using it.
  • Stay ethical — Use AI to assist, not deceive.
  • Community matters — Share your journey, ask questions.
  • Document your wins — Keep track of what you’ve built or discovered.

Conclusion

This 100-day AI learning journey has been nothing short of transformative. Whether you’re a beginner or a curious creator, there’s room for you in the AI space. I encourage everyone to start their own #100DaysOfAI — even 10 days can change your perspective.
